In recent years, globally recognized Private Equity firms have shown increasing interest in investing in one of the world's highest growth regions, driven by strong demographics, rapid economic development, and general under penetration in the private sector. Deal activity has been focused on politically stable economies like the UAE and KSA, and most recently to some extent Egypt. Fund and deal sizes have increased in size as we see large consortiums partnering with local investors. While some investors have a traditional fund model, others find that there is increasing appetite for a deal by deal fundraising approach.
