SA Majlis project

Amer Fatayer, SA Alumni representative, is currently working on investigating the feasibility of setting up the first LBS Majlis in the Middle East. In the first instance, we are keen to use Dubai as a flagship Majlis and are keen to gain support from our local LBS community.

We are interested in gaining thoughts from recent alumni and current students on how best to approach sponsorships. Sponsorship could come in a few forms: Physical (e.g. Majlis owned by a family office to be used by LBS on monthly or bi-weekly basis), financial (e.g. contributions to Majlis setup and opex) or operational (e.g. provision of workers and staff).

Future phases may include LBS Majlis's in key hubs around the MENA Region as and when appropriate

If anyone is interested in supporting this initiative, please get in touch with Amer directly: afatayer.embads2017@london.edu

We look forward to hearing your thoughts and support!

Topic of the month

Read about how one of our fellow LBS Students Amit Magia is applying the outcome from classes to improve the living standards of people in India. This issue of the Newsletter features an interview with our fellow Dubai EMBA Student Amit Magia who, moved by people longing for their own house in a decent locality, decided to get into the affordable housing business and help thousands of people to fulfil their dream to own a house.

With this thought and a great will Amit came up with the idea of KHUSH HOUSING FINANCE PVT LTD, where people with informal incomes could easily avail a housing loan. His greatest gratification are the smiles and the appreciation of his customers while receiving their cheques for new home. He knows he has helped a generation by upgrading them from living an almost nomadic life to their own flat in a decent building.
